Our academy provides high-quality virtual instruction with the expertise of credentialed teachers
In addition to our two Local Resource Centers, we also have our Virtual Academy. Gorman Virtual Academy is perfect for students and families who want credentialed teachers educating their students virtually while they are at home or on-the-go. Our academy offers full courses and workshops from highly skilled credentialed teachers that have years of experience in the classroom and online. Access to all of our classes are as simple as one click on the student’s Chromebook desktop.
All core HS & MS classes come with built-in tutoring as do our elementary math classes. In all of our classes and workshops faculty teach different concepts, review materials, and offer classroom interaction through Google Meet for elementary and Zoom for 6th-12th grade. Students work on group projects, participate in class discussions, and take part in a variety of interactive activities, like fun science experiments! You can expect students to utilize interactive online content using programs like Gimkit Blookit, Kahoot, Nearpod, Writable, and Kami. Our full courses, as well as our elementary math workshops, offer complete guidance, teaching, and grading from a credentialed teacher. All other workshops offer supplemental guidance and partial grading from a credentialed teacher.
